🪄 5 Ways to Make Passive Income from Your Witchy Craft

There’s a special kind of magic in waking up to a notification that something you created — a digital spell page, a printable grimoire sheet, or a bundle of vintage illustrations — has sold overnight. That’s the quiet hum of passive income: energy you’ve already poured into something that continues to support you long after it’s made.

Passive income isn’t instant, and it’s not effortless. But when built with intention, it can create space — time for rest, creativity, and connection with nature — while your little corner of the internet keeps earning in the background.

Here are five ways to start weaving your own passive income streams as a modern witch or creative soul.

🌿 1. Sell Digital Witchy Goods

Your craft has value — and sharing it in digital form allows it to reach far beyond your local market.

You can create printable spell pages, moon phase trackers, grimoire templates, nature journaling kits, or vintage botanical art sheets (my personal favorite). Once you’ve listed your digital files on Etsy or Shopify, they can sell again and again without you needing to print or ship a thing.

Tools to explore: Canva Pro for designing your products, Creative Fabrica  (receive 10 free downloads with trial) for fonts and textures, or my own Witchy Business Tracker to organize your listings and income.

Start with one small product — something your community would actually use in their own practice — and grow from there.

🌙 2. Create Print-on-Demand Magic

If you love combining art and expression, print-on-demand (POD) might be your spell. You upload your design once, and a partner platform prints and ships each order for you.

Think: witchy quote tees, moon phase mugs, tote bags with botanical drawings, or celestial altar cloths.

Once your designs are uploaded, you can focus on creativity and marketing while your products sell automatically.

Platforms to try: Printify, Redbubble, or Gelato. I had the best luck on Redbubble but I think any platform can be successful with consistency and good SEO.

🔮 3. Start a Blog or Newsletter

If you have knowledge to share — herbal recipes, witchy living, vintage art restoration, or your own creative journey — a blog or newsletter can be your most powerful tool.

Every post you publish has the potential to bring in visitors and affiliate income for years. You can recommend your favorite supplies, link to your Etsy shop, and build genuine connections with readers who share your passions.

If you already have one post taking off, use it as a springboard — link related articles together to keep your readers exploring your world.

Affiliate-friendly platforms: Shopify for your site, it has plenty of built in apps for newsletters too.

🌑 4. Teach What You Know

Your craft holds wisdom — and sharing it can be both fulfilling and profitable. Consider creating a short course or downloadable guide on something you already practice.

It could be Moon Magic for Beginners, Herbal Charms and Their History, or How to Source Vintage Clothing Ethically.

Once created, these offerings can generate income repeatedly, with occasional updates or promotions.

Hosting options: Podia, Teachable, or even your Etsy shop.

🕯️ 5. Affiliate Magic

Affiliate income is one of the simplest forms of passive earning. You share tools or resources you genuinely use, and when someone purchases through your link, you earn a small commission — at no extra cost to them.

You could recommend:

  • Your favorite business platforms
  • Sustainable packaging suppliers
  • Courses that teach witchy skills and crafts

Over time, these small earnings add up — especially as your traffic grows. Benable is a great place to start with affiliate sales. It requires no social media following to get approved and includes thousands of popular retailers.

Tip: Create a “Witchy Resources” page on your site to house all your affiliate links. It builds trust and makes your recommendations easy to find. Recommend your favourite candle suppliers or apothecary jar links.

✨ Aligning Your Energy with Abundance

Building passive income isn’t about chasing trends or endless productivity. It’s about creating something meaningful and allowing it to flow naturally — like setting a spell into motion and letting it work in the background.

Start with one small, manageable idea that excites you. Pour care into it, nurture it, and give it space to grow. The most sustainable kind of abundance comes from energy that feels aligned with who you are.
